Mythology meets 2022

by Viviana Lindemann

If you have never heard of Rick Riordan then you are really missing out on great books. You might know him from his best-selling series Percy Jackson, or the famous Heroes of Olympus.

I have only read Heroes of Olympus, I REALLY want to read all of Riordan’s other books. I will not stop badgering one of my classmates to lend me the books.

Here’s a tip, Alcyoneus. Next time you choose the biggest state for your home, don’t set up base in the part that’s only ten miles wide. Welcome to Canada, Idiot.

Imagine you only know one of your parents. Then, one day, your parent tells you that your other parent is an immortal god, who (according to Riordan) has many insecurities and problems. Dive into a world where those oh-so-worshipped gods are confronted with the modern world and the problems their mortal children have to fix. It is written in a hilarious way, unputdownable.

If that appeals to you, check out Percy Jackson or Heroes of Olympus.

Those aren’t the only books Riordan wrote, other famous series are Magnus Chase and the Kane Chronicles.

Magnus Chase is based on Norse Mythology and the Kane Chronicles were inspired by the ancient Egyptian belief system.

Rick Riordan’s books are long, which is good, it gives you more of them to enjoy. This Author likes writing series, also good, gives you even more of the amazingness of these books.

Thanks to Newton the cat for his cooperation during our photoshoot.
